David Messier, Texas Chapter President, is a producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, performer and owner of Same Sky Productions, Inc., an Austin-based recording studio.
What does being a member of the Recording Academy mean to you?
It means that I am lending my voice, experience, and financial support to an organization advocating for the rights of music creators. I am a music creator and at a certain point I think you either decide to get serious about being a part of making the industry stronger or to remain a wet blanket.
